Short version: we collect what you type into our request forms so we can reply and make your short or teardown. We don’t sell it, we don’t use ad trackers, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who we are
Content Octopus (contentocto.com) is run by Georgije Stanisic. For anything about your data, emailgeorgije@contentocto.com.
What we collect
When you request a free short or a teardown
- Your name, email address and the video link you send.
- Anything optional you add: channel or show name, where you plan to post, a style reference link and notes (or, for a teardown, what you want to improve).
- Which offer you asked for. That you confirmed you own or manage the video, or are authorised to have it edited, the time you confirmed it, and the version of our terms you agreed to.
- Where you came from, if known: campaign tags in the link you followed (for example
utm_source) and the website that referred you. We keep only the site’s address, not the full page.
Technical data
- To stop spam and abuse, we store a salted, one-way hash of your IP address with your request and in a short-lived rate-limit counter. We don’t store your IP address itself, and we delete the hash from your request after 30 days.
- Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site. The form may use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused bot check, which processes device and browser signals for that purpose only.
Your video
We open the link you send only to make your short or write your teardown. We keep source and working files privately and don’t publish them. We delete them within 90 days of delivery unless we agree to keep working together.
What we don’t do
- No advertising pixels, session recording or cross-site tracking.
- No newsletter sign-up hidden in the form, and no marketing emails unless you ask for them.
- No selling or renting of your details.
- We don’t set cookies of our own. There are currently no analytics on this site. If we add privacy-friendly analytics later, we’ll update this notice first.
How we use it
We use your details to review your request, reply to you, make and deliver your short or teardown, and, if you’re interested, talk about ongoing work. Our basis is taking the steps you asked for (your request) and our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of abuse.
Who else handles it
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Website hosting, the request database, bot protection |
| Resend | Sending us an email alert when a request arrives |
| Google Workspace | Our email inbox, where we reply to you |
These providers may process data outside your country under their own safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Requests we can’t take on, or that you withdraw: deleted after 90 days.
- Requests we accept: kept while we work together, then for up to 12 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- IP hashes: removed from requests after 30 days. Rate-limit counters expire within about two hours.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your details, a correction, or deletion at any time by emailinggeorgije@contentocto.com. Including your request reference (it starts with “CO-”) helps, but isn’t required. We’ll reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
